“I see people connect, transform and engage their hearts and souls through dance in our beautiful studio.”  Dance transformed me when I deployed to Iraq as an American Soldier.

I found my passion for dancing in a combat zone where I learned to salsa. Dancing soon filled my days and helped me forget and cope with the rigors of war. I learned a lesson:  that dance was restorative and that I needed it in my life. 

So, I called PDS and began a love affair with the dance floor that has not stopped! 

As I was nearing retirement from the military, I dreamed of owning my own beautiful dance studio just like PA DanceSport. I loved the elegant jewel tones on the signature diamond wall and the warm, welcoming feeling I had traveling across the floating maple floor.   It was truly magical and I attended dances there every week because I left feeling happy! Literally my dream came true when the owners encouraged me to buy it.  

There was never any hesitation on my part to continue their good work with the business and grow it into Central PA’s Destination Studio.

“My journey began as a child, mimicking the pros, but it wasn't until my early 20s that I realized the true impact of movement.  Dance provided the foundation of confidence I needed to become my best self.  Today, I combine my gift for dancing with my love for teaching to enhance lives through Ballroom and Latin dance.  There is nothing I enjoy more that helping students develop themselves, their partnerships, and life's most joyful moments." 

"I began dancing ballet as a child at the famed Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and then moved on to Ballroom and Latin dancing, competing in American and International styles. In 2009 I started teaching at PDS.  I love our dance community.  All of my students are very special to me but I love first-time dancers.  It’s fulfilling to watch new, nervous students blossom into confident dancers. "My journey in the ballroom dance world began in 1992 when I was hired as anew instructor at a local dance studio.  I was blessed to continue teaching for nearly two decades in both franchised and independent studios throughout my career.  I took a hiatus to start a family.  Now, with my children a bit older, I'm thrilled to be back on the dance floor, ready to share my love of dance and to help others achieve the transformational benefits that learning ballroom dancing brings everyone who walks through our doors!"

“I began dancing as a child in talent shows and later as a country DJ. Later I started performing with a line dance team.  When my children left for college, I started training on the Country and Western Circuit.  Now I’m a four time World Champion and this year I competed for the first time as a Pro in a Pro-Am competition.  I started teaching in 2019 here at PDS because dance, for me became more than just dancing for myself.  I enjoy bringing my love of dance to others and putting smiles on their faces."
